WHAT IS IT?
ReWild is an online biodiversity & wellbeing course for secondary schools.
​It's a brand-new, nationwide, TY nature course delivered online and structured to assist nature-action on the school grounds over a number of weeks.​​​​​​​​

We've collaborated with the fantastic Jack Morely, wildlife filmmaker and rewilder to create this programme.
​
HOW DOES IT WORK?​​
We've designed the programme to be delivered during one class period per week over the course of 8 weeks - although this can be shortened or lengthened to suit each school.
​
Teachers are given access to our online learning platform where 10-15m videos are viewed in class each week. You will also be provided with a printable student booklet which includes worksheets, discussion points and activities to be completed as you progress. The purpose of the course is to boost student ecoliteracy, implement a real biodiversity action project on the school grounds and encourage the students to spend real, practical time in nature - the wellbeing benefits of which are scientifically proven. Action project results are submitted to us at the end for student certification via a detachable form in the booklet and posted by the teacher to us.

STRUCTURE​
Teachers use their login details to enter our learning platform where all resources are available immediately. Teachers print the booklet for each student.​

WEEK 1 - What is biodiversity? 10-15m video, habitat mapping.
​
WEEK 2 - Why is it important? 10-15m video, habitat mapping, school assessment walk.
​
WEEK 3 - Why is it in danger? 10-15m video, student completes solo-course independently (1.5hrs).
​
WEEK 4 - What can we do to help? 10-15m video, discussing action project.​
​
WEEK 5 to 7 - Implementing your action project​, documenting (option to reduce/ extend).
​​
WEEK 8 - Communication of project to school/ community. Submission for certification.
