Step into Nature
Online Course
Have you ever wondered how to help children truly connect with the living world around them? This online course invites you, as an Early Years Educator or School Age Care Practitioner, to step into nature and discover how everyday moments can foster awe, curiosity and sustainability.
You will explore practical ways to notice, celebrate, and nurture biodiversity right where you are, while supporting children’s emotional wellbeing through sensory experiences and gentle routines. By linking daily practices to Aistear’s four themes, you will learn to empower children as caretakers of their environment and build a culture of belonging, care and wonder.
This course is led by Early Childhood Ireland with Biodiversity in Schools as a collaborator. Early Childhood Ireland is the largest organization and leading membership advocacy group for the Early Years, School Age Care and Childminding sector in Ireland. They have 3,800 members supporting over 120,000 children. The course is free to Early Childhood Ireland members.
