'Biodiversity in Schools' have an Outdoor Classroom that is available to come to your festival or event!
We create exciting and innovative education and craft workshops for children that get them involved in nature conservation in a fun, mindful, hands-on way. Our crafts can include anything from creating bee-bombs, making flowers pots, planting seeds, building bird feeders - it all depends on the season (it is nature after all!) and the topic you would like to focus on. Children will be able to bring these free crafts home with them to help their local wildlife. Our classroom has welcomed thousands of children (and adults!) at festivals all over Ireland including Music Festivals, the Ploughing Championships, Food Festivals, Heritage Open Days, Agricultural Shows, Community Field Days, Maritime Festivals, Environmental Festivals and even Fairytale Festivals - we've been everywhere! Practicalities
Our classroom includes our own beautifully branded stand-alone outdoor marquee and tables. However, we can also arrange to set up within your own larger marquee. We usually find that a 'walk-in workshop' works best where children visit the classroom for 5-10 minutes thereby avoiding a booking system. However, we know that no two events are the same and we will work with you to suit your requirements. We have a great team of tutors including primary school teachers and scientists to facilitate workshops who are Garda vetted and fully insured. Cost The cost of the Outdoor Classroom to visit your event varies depending on location, number of days, opening hours, numbers expected, crafts chosen, etc. Please get in touch with us here to find out more. |
