Nature Conservation for Kids
Caomhnú an dúlra do pháistí in Éirinn
You are very welcome to the Biodiversity in Schools website. Our aim is to teach children all across Ireland about biodiversity and design projects to get them actively involved in Irish nature conservation.
We work specifically with primary schools and create educational resources for the classroom as well as offering school visits. As with everything we do we aim to keep things simple and fun - with a hefty dollop of science! You should find everything you need to boost your school’s biodiversity on this website. Make sure to sign up to our newsletter and follow us on Facebook and Twitter for more ideas. If you would like to take part in one of our workshops, check out our school visits section. |

Biodiversity
What does biodiversity actually mean? Why is it important? What about all those other scientific definitions? Agggh! Don't worry - our biodiversity section will answer all your questions! |
What are other schools doing? What better way to inspire you than to highlight the great biodiversity work being undertaken at other schools across Ireland.
Our education team travel the length and breadth of the country and aim to regularly update this map demonstrating some first-class case studies. Who knows, we could even feature your school here very soon! |
